I stand by not agreeing with the Admins of the ECTFC making teams play on abysmal servers just so they can fit HLTV,DJ and have a ref there too.
What I dont take a liking to is being called a faggot by someone I have never even spoken to before among other stuff over the radio I was unable to hear.
Call me a faggot and I will call you one back, shocking isn't it. Childish , maybe but something to get upset about and throw your dummy out of the pram, think not.

Let me add some more, just for a refernce to others/people in ECTFC.
ECTFC is a chance for people from europe and some outside to play for their country against other countries.
The majority, if not all of these clans put alot of work into getting things ready for the tournement with practices/sites etc.
Then for all this to be made pointless by the admins of the league by making players play on servers where BOTH teams are lagging badly is a waste of both the teams and admins time.
And why is it they want to play on these servers? Well so a hltv proxy and a 'dj' can get into the server (has to be 19 ports in total).
Expect me to be happy about this? apparently so it would seem, but shockingly I don't and if calling ECTFC pricks is my way of showing this then so be it.
Wales in my eyes(my comments not wales') have had nothing but shit from the ECTFC over the 3 seasons and I don't think its right. |

*E* have played on one UK server(vs Israel) and at least one v laggy german server(v germany) so far....Think we might have used another German server tonight v Spain too,Not really been ideal in anyway for anyone.
You have to sympathise with the Tourney organisers in a way because getting any servers at all is very tough and i believe theyve done their best...*but* it would seem only common sense to let the teams ultimately decide where to play,And if 2 teams decide that a certain server(be it UK german whatever) will give them a better game and ultimately all round more enjoyment then surely that server should be played on.

I cant see the need for 19/20 player slots being needed anyway 8+8players +1 ref + hltv(with dj being on the hltv.....Surely this makes sense,Less server load and hes just as free to view the game) = 18 slots,Which 99% of servers can do. |

I cant agree more with Mirage, after being forced to play 2 (YES TWO!!!) clan games on really really bad servers.
The 1st game vs finland was just so infuriating most of wales left the server in the 2nd map, something that we would never do unless we felt the game was utterly pointless. The server was cracking up and giving everyone 800 pings.... is this TFC???
Then last night we learnt from the mistake of the finland game and arranged to get both teams onto the server in advance of the game to see if it could hold up, which it didnt. We went back to irc and agreed with sweden (nice fellows :D) that BW would be much more stable for both teams. The ref nemesis (whos a very nice guy but was told to stick by some very stupid rules) said we couldnt play on BW coz they needed a 19 man server. When we suggested that gumpslinger could watch from HLTV we were told that "he finds it too jerky". Well isnt that terrible. The server wasnt as bad as the finland one but for me personally I had 10-20 loss constant meaning grens didnt leave my hands.
It seems pretty obvious that ECTFC are obsessed with getting as many people watch and listen to games as possible, even if they are watching a crap laggy game. |

It must be really disapointing and frustrating for the 'elite' of europe's tfc players. They want to be able to play at the best of their ability for their country and for the hundreds of people watching. You can't do that with an unstable connection to the server.
From the ectfc's pov, it must be very hard to organise a semi-decent 19 man server for the showcase game of the night, the DJ and hltv and refs for the numerous matches of the night. Especially when working of a budget of nothing. Very little comes for free, and goodwill only goes so far.
I think there needs to be a bit of leeway from both sides.
The players must realise that the tournament is as much (if not more) for the spectators than it is for them, and organising the whole event isn't a stroll in the park.
The organisers must realise the needs of the players who would really like optimal conditions for matches when their performance is up for scrutiny, indeed their reputation on the line. |

| Um surely it would be best for the listeners if the "dj" watched on HLTV since people can then use HLTV and listen and the game would be in sync (since hltv has a delay) i agree with Eat etc. |

Well you aint gonna make Man Utd(for example) play on some water sodden dog shit covered park pitch just cos it happens to be a bit closer to John motsons house so he can have a nice lie in before the game are you :D

Its obvious with a tournament of this kind that you have to cater for the spectators and as i said before quality servers that are available and suit everyone arent exactly abundant, But at the same time why force people to play a game on a server where they at times ping 900+ with lotsa ploss....I mean thats shit for the players and from a personal pov sitting on hltv watching someone barely able to throw grenades/conc or in fact do anything skillful doesnt make for enthralling viewing,Id far rather they play on a decent server and let me dl the demos afterwards. |

| Ping 900+ will always be totally unacceptable. Ectfc should definately make allowances for that. The stance "It was the same for both teams" is totally irrelavent for such a high level of tfc. |
