Rules...
Rules are nice. Rules make things more controlable.
But what happens if you have to many rules?
People are gonna interpret rules their way, they are gonna forget rules, and people will work around the rules because one rule will neutralize the other.
So where am I going with this? ECTFC.
It's obvious the admins tried/try to do their best. But TFC nowadays seems to be much more about whining and flaming more than anything else. There's whine when someone BT's.
There's whine when someone hits too well. There's whine when someone uses a lame tactic.
And now there's rules that try to stop BT and lame tactics. Why? Because otherwhise people'd whine.
STOP WHINING!
Play the game as you and your team like. [I am not saying cheat and use bugs, this is something that shouldn't be allowed ofcourse]. Don't try to control the game to much with so many rules. If you have a good team, you can beat lama tactics and you can beat BT'ers. There's so much
BS going on around TFC, its pathetic.
I could write so much more, but im not gonna. I'm just gonna say: Dont whine and be a good sport, it's cool if the other team plays fair too, but dont demand it. At least you were a sport!
PS: I wrote this speaking for myself, not my clan. And with everything i say i exclude cheats/bugs etc, those should never be allowed!

I remember going offy HW against [BAD] on openfire after they used 2 HWs, then you banned me from your channel with the amusing kicknote "cunt" - so... I doubt you don't care if someone does it...
No matter how much people say anything goes is fun, it's not. I remember CNBL (the ULTIMATE anything goes clan) vs KoD on well, KoD did 7+ defence after capping and CNBL members were bitching in IRC about how gay it was and even changed the topic to reflect their frustration...
If one of the most lame clans in TFC history can get frustrated by similar tactics, then I doubt anyone can say any different.
I would like to give my trust to my opponents to play a fair game and not basically waste my time with excessive spam, dual HWs, lockdowns, backtracking etc.... but these days I can't. That's why they are trying to draft such rules to control it.
I don't agree with the rules simply because you can't discern between infringements and acceptable play very easily, and even when you can, nothing much is done about it. I wouldn't want to be an admin in today's TFC climate.
Setting cr_hwguy 1 at the top level shouldn't be a problem. It's much more enjoyable to play against a clan with <2 HWs...
as for DW and BC having a queue of soldiers waiting to join, yes we do, the trouble is that 99% of them are shit, so it takes even longer to find that elusive 1%... you won't see us running 2 HWs despite our lack of soldiers at the moment, it's a shame that other clans can't show the same respect to their opponents. |

I highly doubt it's something you can switch on and off unzy, you might try to not let it get to you, but underneath there's a good chance you'll be left pissed off by various things, even if you don't let on.
DW never invented 2 HWs on openfire, we did use it once when kristus was playing balcony defence and changed to HW even tho he was meant to soldier it. We said sorry for running a lame strat and didn't use it again from what I remember... |

Finally we are getting somewhere, it's the fucking bollock rules that are fucking TFC up. Don't you lot (except Eagle) realise this?
Rules = moan moan moan, like Eagle says, if your clan is good ehough you should be able to handle anything at all.
