Rules...
Rules are nice. Rules make things more controlable.
But what happens if you have to many rules?
People are gonna interpret rules their way, they are gonna forget rules, and people will work around the rules because one rule will neutralize the other.
So where am I going with this? ECTFC.
It's obvious the admins tried/try to do their best. But TFC nowadays seems to be much more about whining and flaming more than anything else. There's whine when someone BT's.
There's whine when someone hits too well. There's whine when someone uses a lame tactic.
And now there's rules that try to stop BT and lame tactics. Why? Because otherwhise people'd whine.
STOP WHINING!
Play the game as you and your team like. [I am not saying cheat and use bugs, this is something that shouldn't be allowed ofcourse]. Don't try to control the game to much with so many rules. If you have a good team, you can beat lama tactics and you can beat BT'ers. There's so much
BS going on around TFC, its pathetic.
I could write so much more, but im not gonna. I'm just gonna say: Dont whine and be a good sport, it's cool if the other team plays fair too, but dont demand it. At least you were a sport!
PS: I wrote this speaking for myself, not my clan. And with everything i say i exclude cheats/bugs etc, those should never be allowed!

The use of lame tactics often occurs when 2 clans of similar ability meet. In my experience it is the clan that is prepared to use the dodgiest tactics that will win such a game. Being blinded by victory is no excuse for not respecting your opponent.
This is very easy to say on the back of a 40 game winning streak, especially when BC have been guilty of the above offences at some point. But we have got where we are through teamwork and practicing.
One of the things that really disappointed me was a certain team (that shalll remain nameless) claiming the other team cheated in #ectfc. They had absolutely no proof and simply couldnt take losing. Instead of admitting that they had been outplayed (or maybe just unlucky on the day) they had to try and tarnish the reputation of one of europes best players. |

Coulnd't agree more Eagle....people shouldnt try to enforce rules upon clans, if a clan wants to lock down or bt it's there choice the'll just get blasted in the match reports/forums or whatever.
I thought the 5 def rule and no bting rule in ectfc was so pathetic...people really shouldnt try and put restrictions like that on tfc...it was fucking stupid, they didnt seem to have a clue to me "not bting" "but you can shoot flag carriers" picture the scene.. your playing offence ,20seconds left in the ectfc final a enemy medic's been killed on the bridge witth the flag another medic comes from balc..now you have to wait till that medic touches your flag so he can be classed as a flag carrier before your allowed to start shooting him or it's classed as BT and someone would most likely make acomplaint and you'd lose the match (like sweden tried to complain about england just stop whining..if you want to bt in clan games do so, if you want to use 6 defence do so you shouldn't be penalised for it by leagues |

hum ... let's think about the meaning of BT: isn't it the fact of changing direction in order to chase an enemy?
many ppl cry out BT when getting hit with ssg when passing by.
lame tactics are in my oppinion those tactics which strengthen defense by means of placing a defensive player onto a position where one can weaken nme offy with useless spam.
everything with spam is somehow lame and shows lack of skill which is the reason for lame tactics anyway imho.
the lame tactics can help against clans which are not as good to slightly better but against a better team with better teamplay, those tactics won't work out for long.
things that don't work out lead me to defrags comment: not every clan has a bunch of great soldiers, so why don't using 2 hws, as long as those hws are more effective?
i guess everyone knows that also hw is a quite difficult class, if you play it really good. there are many small things which show wether there's a good hw or a nooby one.
same as medic. i suppose anyone with a grentimer manages to jump at 4 and use a direction key. but is this a good medic then? ;o) |

| Yes but if they're gonna play HW's and lama allround they wont cap, nor will they learn anything from it, wont get any reputation/games and they will be defeated, so it's their loss, in more ways than one. Same with BT, they lose offy time etc... |

being a good hw is a lot harder than one might think. btw. i'm none allthough i know how to turn that ac thingy on.
eagle: i didn't say one should just play hw, but sometimes 2 hws are not that bad, especially if you might not have that good soldiers.
for a small clan it is hard to get members. surely a clan like dw or bc has a list of ppl that want to trial.
what is better: 1 good hw or 1 bad soldier?
bt and all this offy vs offy thingy and laming around is never funny, but some clans do it if they're in the lead and start whining if someone's better. this is more serious than a little clan laming around and this is, what happens in other countries. |
